Gourd Fairy Houses explores the answer to the question ,”What if your creativity was a fairy, what kind of house would she live in?”

Here is a project idea that is perfect for the long winter month. It is challenging and will pull you into a fancy would your skills and imagination can soar.
Give yourself six months and press yourself to learn to use new products.
Here are some steps to get you started and examples to convince you this will be great fun! Because anything goes, after all, it is about creativity!
Step 1. Find a gourd
Set it in the house by the TV and just look at it and imagine the personality of your fairy and begin to decide what she likes and how she would live.
Step 2. Sketch some ideas on paper. Make several and choose one.
Strengths and a challenge
What is your strength? Are you a good painter or do you like working with small details and building things? If you are a painter, then paint the details on or pull out the clay products and make them! Some of these us palmer clay. That might be a new product you can use.
Now to get your ideas flowing, let’s look at the details. Notice that some are birdhouses. Switch out the door and you have a fairy house.

What kind of painting details can you add? Here is where your acrylic skills can shine. What color schemes work well here?
Or maybe this is where your clay skills shine!

Notice that the roof is carved on the second house.
He went on to make them bigger and heaven only knows what will be next!

A Different Perspective
The one on the right is a gourd upside down. The other is an interior viewpoint. and the one on the left is over a solar light!
