Learn to be a Better Gourd Artist

cut and carve a gourd for gourd art.

A web site to help you learn about gourd art, buy the right products and learn to sell  art gourds.

A website to help you learn about gourd art, buy the right products, and learn to sell art gourds.

Gourd Art Talk is an information site with our focus on an instructional Blog created for those wanting to be better gourd artists. At another time, I would be offering you this as a 200-page book. In this form, you can read the information when you need it. Plus, each article includes many pictures and a few videos. Check out the Blog page to see how it works.

Learning about gourd art happen through my classroom, the Blog Page.

The posts on the Blog page is my lead conversation to a  discussion. You can comment at the post’s end, and I will try to respond. A better way for you to talk with me and other artists is to join my Gourd Art Talk Facebook Group.  About 2000 gourd artists, many beginners, visit our group each month.

I post at least one new article every month and link it to the group page. The following week, I will post a discussion question about our topic. You may also post your questions about the topic to the group and show us any of your gourd work that pertains to our discussion.

What happens is magic!

Most of our readers are “newbies” to the gourd world. Still, we also have some very experienced artists who truly enjoy solving gourd art problems and offering tips. Remember that we also have many gourd growers who can offer advice.

You are also encouraged to share work you are currently working on in pictures or short videos on this group page. You will soon discover this group is very inspiring and helpful! We do not sell items here, and I monitor the site closely to stay on our topic of gourds. Check out the Blog page and start finding the information you will need.

Let me offer you my expertise

As a master gourd artist, I have taught wood burning and tangling on gourds at gourd festivals nationwide. But now I can share my knowledge about gourds and all the aesthetic and design things I learned when I got my Master’s Degree in Art Education.

If you know what a gallery-quality gourd should look like, you can learn to create one. Let me be your guide if you are new to the art form, and if you have earned ribbons for your work, I hope you will join me in offering advice to others.

Are you selling gourd tutorials or online classes or festival classes?

With many more opportunities on the Internet for gourd artists and instructors, I am offering you space on the blog page for a small ad. This page is getting 1000 hits a month and is growing. We have over 200 visitors from other countries.

With a clickable ad link, viewers can go to your site and sign up for a class or buy your gourds or your tutorials to help learn about gourd art.

I will not allow these kinds of posts on our Facebook Group page, Gourd Art Talk, because I feel we don’t want it to become a selling site. On the other hand, I do want to share gourd  information with my visitors and allow you to tell others about your gourd expertise and buying opportunities.

This ad space will help you get the information out to more gourd people. You can purchase one in the store .
