Gourd Art Blog

selling and displaying gourd art  posts

Welcome to my Gourd Art  Blog! Every month, I post at least two posts.  You can comment on each post and then share your work related to the topic on our Facebook Group page, Gourd Art Talk.  The more complicated posts can be purchased and downloaded from the store.

The Blog is the heart of my website. Here is where my teaching skills take over, and you can learn how to create beautiful gourd art.

Here is what I will provide for you through the Gourd Art Blog.

  1. Reviews of tools, products, and unique gourd processes
  2. Explain various gourd techniques with an emphasis on best practices using free videos and tips from my own experiences.
  3. Suggest ways to make your gourd journey economical, profitable, and award-winning.
  4. Provide you with inspirational gourd examples and suggest more creative and different approaches to your gourd art.
  5. Educate your eye to recognize a “master gourd artist “and the expectations of gallery-quality work.
  6. Provide you with a “Show and Tell”
  7. Show you how to create reference folders on Pinterest to keep gourd images for inspiration, examination, and critique.
  8. Gives you a platform on Facebookto share your work and learning tips with all of us.
  9. Provide extra information on topics with short picture tutorials, checklists, and e-books, both free and at a low price. ($2-$15.)

Here is what my readers are sharing about their experience with the articles and videos.

Thank you for the informative and well-designed information about pyrography and gourds. You clearly are a teacher with many years of experience – it shows! The layout of your information in small sections with lots of photos and videos is easy on the eyes and the mind. I’ll steer my sister to your site as her work with gourds will benefit significantly from your teaching. (I’m a potter, greatly admire your artwork, and have even picked up tips to teach my clay students.)

Thank you so much for the information. I’m new to folk art, and your Blog is the best I’ve found to guide me. The info you provide is clear and concise. I especially like that you provide other sources that we can refer to. I will certainly be a regular follower of your Blog.
