There are two major brands of Alcohol ink. Pinata and Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink. They can be found in any craft department. Other brands will also work. Infact, I use several brands, all on one gourd. Just look for the best buy.
Remember the 99% alcohol for mixing and clean-up!

Chris Kapono has a more elaborate technique for those of you who want to take time and create eggs that will impress anyone. She has an Etsy store where she sells these eggs. Overall, her eggs have several steps that need time to dry. This one you may want to do on your own. But what wonderful gifts they would make if you plan to travel over the Easter holiday.

Her technique begins with using a crushed up paper towel. Then she adds detail with a black marker and a gold paint marker. Beaware, the Sharpie marker on a gourd will run when given the final spray. I sell one in the store page, the Identi- Pen, which doesn’t.
The paint markers I have also used and with a workable fixative over the finished project and know it will not fade.
The Sculpey tools used to add dots are new to me and can be bought on Amazon. Otherwise,I would use a tip of a pencil or small wooden skewers.
